I love this blooper beyond words, because you can see the thought niggling at the edges of Colin’s focus, until he gets distracted from Merlin, and slips into being colin again about 1/3 of the way through that second gif., then knowing that he’s lost it and self-chastising for both his mind and blowing the scene, (probably again — I’m sure this isn’t the first take for this, although it wasn’t colin who blew it the previous takes). And knowing that Arthur is going to turn his head, meaning that Colin KNOWS that Bradley is going to see him, so that moment when their eyes meet, and his laughter bursts forth with a deep roll, he’s half child half man, with Bradley now smiling at Colin’s giddiness, (you can just catch it in the shift of Bradley’s cheek in the end of the last gif), This is the one blooper where I feel like Colin is totally himself and has lost character entirely. That it’s with Bradley is what makes it both possible and beautiful.
